 "So.cl combines social networking and search, to help people find and share interesting web pages in the way students do when they work together. So.cl helps you create rich posts, by assembling montages of visual web content." says Microsoft.

But So.cl is just similar to the Google Plus and Facebook which allows to rich media sharing just like the upload video option from Facebook and Google Plus, and real time sharing of videos via "video parties" Similar to the Hangout option from Google Plus.

"We expect students to continue using products such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other existing social networks, as well as Bing, Google and other search tools. We hope to encourage students to re imagine how our everyday communication and learning tools can be improved, by researching, learning and sharing in their everyday lives" Says Microsoft, indirectly they are targeting to Google Plus, Since they uses Facebook login and their search API's are different from Bing and Microsoft claims it as a different product and not related to Bing.

This year Christmas celebration starts with the spam. After the attack of various spam attacked the entire internet world, it still remained in few cases like the Nigerian spam asking to pay for them to check out their huge cash, persons from abroad starting their new branch in their home town and lot more.

This time the spam are offering a lot of gift products, gift coupons and lot more, this spam started increasing through the social media like Facebook. After the huge spam attack on Facebook, this new spam is started. Even Facebook fixed their previous spam, whether they will take any further steps to stop this kind of the spam?

Facebook beats Google in Top 50 Best Places to work in 2012


According to the Glassdoor employees' choice awards released last month, Bain & Company ranks first with 4.7 rating adn the McKinsey & Company ranks second with 4.3 rating and the Facebook also maintains the third with the same rating as 4.3.

Employee Ratings Scale: 3.51-4.0 = "Satisfied" 4.01-5.0 = "Very Satisfied"

Google ranks 5th with 4.0 where apple moves to 10th position where the Intel ranks 32nd with the 3.6 rating, Accenture with the same rating and ranks 43rd, Johnson and Johnson holds the 28th position.

This ratings are provided based on the employer ratings such as career advancement and compensation and those are approved by their CEO mostly.

Facebook dominates many of the Google’s products


According to the study done by Neilson wire, Facebook ranks no.2 where the android market is at the top and the Google’s other products follows the ranking. Apart from the social network Facebook, social apps are lightly represented here; no Twitter, LinkedIn, or Tumblr in sight. Otherwise, core functions like search, email, YouTube, weather, and maps — and Angry Birds — round out the top ten.

The lists consists the age groups from 18-24, 25,34, and 35-44, the study finds Google Search, Gmail, and Google Maps shuffling behind Facebook, and YouTube, Angry Birds, and Pandora radio fight for spots six through eight. It's notable that the top six apps in each age group boast usage over 50%, with a steep drop-off of at least 15% separating the rest of the list.

Facebook started looking into fix the bugs


Facebook started looking into fix the bugs, which allows the users to view private photographs of the others. Facebook took it as a serious issue after the CEO Mark Zuckerberg private photos has been released in the internet.



"We discovered a bug in one of our reporting flows that allows people to report multiple instances of inappropriate content simultaneously," Facebook quoted.

"The bug allowed anyone to view a limited number of another user's most recently uploaded photos irrespective of the privacy settings for these photos," it said.

"This was the result of one of our recent code pushes and was live for a limited period of time," Facebook reported.

"Upon discovering the bug, we immediately disabled the system, and will only return functionality once we can confirm the bug has been fixed," it said.

An unauthorized person posted "It's time to fix those security flaws Facebook..." with the CEO’s private photos, since it reaches more than millions of people in Facebook.

Facebook said "the privacy of our user's data is a top priority for us, and we invest significant resources in protecting our site and the people who use it."
